Press Release -For Immediate Release
Southampton, PA, September 10, 2009. Environmental Tectonics Corporation’s (NYSE ALTERNEXT US: ETC) (“ETC” or the “Company”) Simulation Division in Orlando, FL announced they will offer a free day of training to local first responders on their Advanced Disaster Management Simulator (ADMS).
To commemorate President Obama’s proclamation of September as National Preparedness Month, ETC Simulation would like to take this opportunity to give back to the community and honor the country’s endeavors to prepare for and mitigate potential disasters.
Wednesday, September 30th 2009, from 10AM - 4PM, ETC Simulation Division in Orlando, FL will open their doors to local responders and host a full day of training with ADMS, utilizing their state-of-the-art facility, which includes a 180 degree immersive theatre-like screen. This training session will provide local responders an opportunity to use high end simulation in place of their typical table top training.
ADMS is a Virtual Reality simulation training stage that provides a true-to-life experience for first responders to train, assess and exercise Incident Command and vehicle operation. ADMS simulates emergencies, disasters and other events in which first responders cannot typically train live. The benefits of the ADMS simulation based training are that a high level of proficiency can be achieved in a short time, it is easy to organize, and is a green solution. Without the wear and tear on resources, training can be done at a fraction of the cost of live exercises.
ETC Simulation would like to thank all of our first responders who continue to make our world a safe place to live. We truly value and honor your continued commitment, sacrifice and service.
